Automatic Opening Vent Systems (AOV)

Statistically, most fire deaths are not caused by the burn injuries but by smoke inhalation. Actual flames and burns account for only 30 percent of deaths and injuries.

Automatic Opening Vents (AOV) are designed to vent smoke out of the building in case of fire. AOVs can be integrated into a fire alarm system with its own control panel and can be triggered automatically or manually during a fire. AOVs help ventilate the smoke out of your building and are designed to keep escape routes clear and safe from toxic smoke.

AOV systems typically form part of a larger fire safety programme of a building including being triggered by Natural and Mechanical Ventilation systems.
